Octopus - Hong Kong's payment card operator admits of data scam

Hong Kong's transit card payment company, Octopus received Hong Kong Dollars 44 Million by providing personal information about customers for the last four and half years to six companies as reported in the local publications. The company official slated of having accepting the allegation has assured to abide by the Hong Kong's government policies taking into consideration the customer sentiments.

Though the company being successful since the it's inception in 1997, the history narrates of some similar incidents which resulted in creating difficulty for the customers.
